This week we are getting to know Tara Epavier, Pre-K teacher at the Early Childhood Center, Tara and her husband, Eric, have two children:  Addy Grace and Michael.

Please tell us about your family and/or the people you plan to spend time with this summer.
This summer I plan to spend time with my husband, Eric, our two kids Addy Grace who is 4 and Michael who is 15 months old. We will also spend lots of time with family and friends. We love to go to the pool, beach, park, and camping. It is going to be a fun filled summer.

Have you ever lived in or visited anywhere exciting that you’d like to return to?
I lived in Georgia for 6 years and we plan to go visit all of our friends this summer. I have never been to Traverse City so this is on my list of places to visit this summer. I am really looking forward to our fun vacations that we have planned.

What’s on your summer reading list?
This summer I will be very busy trying to complete my Masters therefore I will be doing lots of reading for this. I am learning a lot and look forward to implementing new ideas into my classroom.

Any projects you will attempt to tackle over the break?
We are in the process of redoing our deck, which I am looking forward to relaxing on. I also have some painting inside of our house I would like to do.  We would also love to update our bathrooms so my husband is going to be very busy!!

What does the end of the school year mean to you?
The end of year is a very exciting time. It is a time to celebrate the accomplishments our student’s have made. They have grown so much throughout the year and its awesome to see that. It makes me sad to say goodbye to them but I am excited for their new journeys in Kindergarten! It also means that I get to spend a couple of months being a stay at home mom and I am so grateful for the extra time I get with my own little ones.
