As the long-awaited day of Graduation dawned beautiful and sunny, the Class of 2015 couldn’t help but reflect on how quickly their time in high school had gone. “It’s unreal”, said graduating senior Kylee DeMeester. “It feels like Freshman year was one minute ago. They really mean it when they say it goes by fast.” Kylee plans to attend GRCC for the first two years and transfer to Michigan State and study Interior Design. Fellow graduate, Christian Miller, adds this piece of advice to incoming freshman: “Enjoy it while it lasts!” as he prepares to also attend GRCC for management, eventually entering the field of heating and cooling.
Graduate Brent Willman found himself right in the middle of the bittersweet nature of graduation day but said, “I’m glad it’s over but at the same time, I’m going to miss everybody.” Brent will be attending the honors college at GVSU and plans to study computer science and one day, start a video game design company with his friends. “[High School] was really fun but you don’t really appreciate it.”
Principal, Brandon Graham said, “Congratulations to the Class of 2015! I’m proud of all that they accomplished and I can’t wait to see what they do after their time at Jenison High School. We wish them well as they pursue their dreams!”
