What Advice do you have for a young child? [Journal Entry]
By Emma Millin
Here’s a piece of advice for a young child who is still figuring out life:
If you be yourself, people might make fun of you. They might call you weird or give you dirty looks. But, you’ll just have to ignore those people. Being yourself is probably one of the best things you can do.
If you want to put paperclips in your hair, do it!
If you want to dance down the hallway, do it!
If you want to sing loudest in music class, even though the kid in front of you doesn’t like your voice, do it!
If you want to get an E on a test… well maybe you shouldn’t do that…
Be yourself, the best you you could ever be!”
