Art Awards won in 2011-2012:

  • MAEA Region 9 Show (works displayed at the GRAM): Bursley Elementary students along with Jackie Dryer, Austin DeGroot, Nadia Bowman, Austin Schank, and Breanna Scranton
  • Youth Arts Festival at WMU: Jackie Dryer
  • Governor’s Traveling Show: Austin DeGroot (Top 18 in the State of Michigan)
  • Scholastic Art and Writing Awards: Breanna Scranton, Honorable Mention; Micheal Nagy, Gold Key Award winner with work displayed at Kendall College of Art and Design
  • Holland Area Arts Council Debut Show: Thell Stigger, Micheal Nagy, and Samantha Boone
  • JPS Art Moves: 27 junior and senior high students with work displayed at Sunnybrook Country Club and throughout the community
  • Distracted Driver Awareness Billboard Competition: Brittan Walters (selected from entries from 24 schools within Kent and Ottawa Counties; billboard can be seen on 31 S between Grand Haven and Holland).
